Singing harmonies with her mother ever since she was a little girl, Beth Southwell is a seasoned singer-songwriter hailing from Vancouver, BC. She's performed at the Burnaby Blues & Roots Festival, Rio Theatre, Shadbolt Centre for the Performing Arts, and Firehall Arts Centre. An accomplished traveler, she's performed across Canada, the UK, and Taiwan.
In 2013, she released her first full-length album produced and recorded by Jesse Waldman. Her self-titled debut is a collection of intimate, introspective folk songs, spanning simple, heartfelt deliveries to lush, embellished string arrangements. With a BA in Performing Arts, Southwell has spent over twenty passionate years in the Arts sector, from programming management, to audience outreach and development, as well as serving three years as a Director with the Vancouver Folk Music Festival Society.
A staple of the acclaimed Folk Festival Concert series, you can catch Beth performing this summer on Vancouver Island in "East Van Songwriters in the Round".
